(gentle music) - [Speaker] As we transition towards next generation networks, the efficiency, agility, and scalability becomes central goal. So in traditional setups where the network functions ran on dedicated hardware, but through virtualization, we are abstracting those functions from the physical hardware. In telecom network where we have the sites, we have the regional locations and the core locations. Here we are having the different entities that have been incorporated in terms of edge location, regional clouds, core cloud including the public cloud. We have the virtualized environment from the radio access network towards the core network, starting with the radio access network. The radio unit is the only one which is not virtualized. It is still a black box, but the rest of the different components such as distributed unit, control unit, they have been desegregated and can be put on the virtualized environment.
