At a high level, dual connectivity allow different devices or user equipments to connect to two different pay stations or cells at the same time. And these cells could belong to same technologies or could be different technologies. For example, it could be between LTE and 5G node, or it could be two different 5G nodes connecting with one another and making a dual connectivity. But how does the network actually decide when and how to use this feature of dual connectivity? So let's explore the three main factors that influence dual connectivity behavior.
