And it is all started with a major shift in how mobile networks were built from simple voice only systems to advanced and data-first architecture. So here, we are going to take a journey from second generation to third generation and how the network has evolved. So let us rewind to 2G era where mobile networks were all about voice. We had the different BTS, which are the base transreceiver station, which handle the radio connection with your phone. Then we have the controller, which is a base station controller here, which manage the radio resources and multiple BTS in this case. We have the core network where we have the CS, which is circuit-switched core network, primarily focusing on the voice calls.
