- [Instructor] The adoption of SysML is part of a much larger organizational initiative towards model-based systems engineering. That implies a significant transformation in processes, people, and technologies. If your organization just started working with SysML, and v2 is the starting version, then the pathway to adoption will be different from if your organization has been using SysML v1 for some time and now wants to migrate to v2. The magnitude and scope of change in the former case is significantly more far reaching compared to the latter case, as changing from v1 to v2 is more about changing the language and tools being used for systems engineering. Although SysML v2 is an important building block of systems engineering, it is still just a language. The MBSE methods are largely independent of any language or tool the organization chooses to use.
