- [Instructor] Stock and flow diagrams are essential tools in system dynamics because they help us to understand the accumulation and movement of resources within a system. In this tutorial, we're going to model the inventory for one product in a store. This model helps to illustrate the balance between ordering new stock meeting, customer demand, and managing inventory levels, and really just how easy it is to swing from stockouts to overstock situations in a supply chain. First, set up your accountant in Insight Maker. Sign in or create a free account if you don't have one. Then click on Create a New Insight on the main dashboard. On the left toolbar, select the Stock tool. Click anywhere in the blank workspace to place your stock. Name the stock Inventory Level. Let's set the initial value at 20. That represents the current quantity of product in our warehouse. Now let's create a flow for sales. Select the Flow tool, Click on the Inventory Level stock. Drag the flow arrow outward…
