- [Instructor] In this demonstration, we're going to be focusing on how we can get information about print jobs in a Windows printing environment. So, let's say in our environment, we have a Windows print server that hosts multiple printers. And what we'd like to know is when print jobs are submitted to those printers. We might have a need where we need to gather statistics over time about print server printers and the number of print jobs that they handle. And this might be important because it might be data that feeds into decision making as to whether we need additional printers and the like. So, let's get started here. What I'm going to do here in Splunk Cloud is I'm first going to make sure I have an index to store print job information. You do not need a separate index, but I like to put this type of stuff in a separate index because I know in a heavy printing environment it's probably going to result in quite a bit…
