- [Instructor] So, you can access Advanced Voice Mode through the ChatGPT mobile apps on iOS or Android devices, through the desktop apps on Mac or Windows machines, or through the web in your browser at chatgpt.com. In all cases, look for this waveform button in the prompt area to access Advanced Voice Mode, whether you're using the browser, the desktop app, or the mobile app. Now, ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode is currently available to all levels of users, but there are daily rate limitations that vary depending on your subscription plan. Free users are limited to a very short daily preview, and although OpenAI hasn't specified how short that window is, it's usually just long enough to get an idea of what Advanced Voice Mode is like. In order to use Advanced Voice Mode with enough time to use it on a regular basis, you'll need to be subscribed to a paid account like ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team or Enterprise. Again, OpenAI doesn't specify exactly what the limit is, but free users will receive a warning when only three minutes remain, and Plus, Team, Enterprise and Education users will receive a 15-minute warning. Pro subscribers are currently the only subscribers who have unlimited access to Advanced Voice Mode. Now, something else to be aware of is currently, Advanced Voice Mode runs on a version of the GPT-4 model, so even if you select one of the other models from the model menu, if you start using Advanced Voice Mode, your conversation will be with a version of the GPT-4 model. Also, be aware that you can't perform certain tasks with Advanced Voice Mode that you can perform through text prompts like asking ChatGPT to generate images for you, and there are some features that are only available in the Mac version of the desktop app, like allowing ChatGPT to see certain apps you're working in on your desktop, or on the iPhone, where you can share your entire screen with ChatGPT. But, as you'll see in the rest of this course, there are plenty of ways to take advantage of using Advanced Voice Mode's natural conversational speaking to get answers, do research, improve skills, and a lot more.
