Saving and using the exercise files
- [Instructor] If you have access to the exercise files, then every time we use one, we'll put the path on a file as you can see at the bottom of the screen. Other things like tool tips, et cetera, will also come out on popups at the start, at least, and then as we get more familiar, we'll sort of phase the use of those out. It is worthwhile pointing out at this early stage is that there are links, a lot of stuff backed to SketchUp. So if you've got all these files saved on a flash drive, and you keep moving it around, then you might find that the links are broken. So it's always worthwhile saving these onto the hard drive for the duration of this course. Then when you get more familiar with the way in which LayOut links back to SketchUp onto the other files that you use, then by all means, feel free to save them to cloud storage or to flash drives and you shouldn't have any problems. But for now, I would suggest that you copy these files onto the hard drive so the links are fairly stable.
