Sharing a file from a SharePoint document library

- [Narrator] Need to share a SharePoint library file with someone? Start by hovering over the file name and then select the share command. Before entering a name or an email address of who you want to share this with, over to the right, select the permissions for what they will be able to do with the file. It's currently set to Can edit, this can be changed to Can view, meaning they can't make any changes or can't download, which means they can view, but they cannot download a local copy of the file. We'll leave it set to Can edit. Next, enter the name or the email address of who you want to share this with. Select the name or the email address from the list. Your organization may restrict external sharing. If it is allowed, you will have a prompt like this letting you know that you're sharing outside of your organization. This is just for security awareness. Select Continue, and next, you can include a personal message with this. Then select Send. An email invitation has been sent…
