Managing a file's version history in SharePoint

- [Instructor] Do you need to revert back to an older version of a file and you're not sure how to go about this? There are a couple of ways that you can access version history for a file that's stored in a SharePoint document library. Let's check out how to do this for a file that's already open, such as the Word document you see here open in the Word web app. To get started we're going to select the name of the file and from the caption select Version History. Over to the right is the Version History pane where we see three different versions, and let's go back to the second version here. When you select a version, everything that is red with an underline is indicating that these are all of the edits that were made in that version. Now if you expand a version by selecting the arrow pointing to the right, it will show you a timeline of groupings of changes that were made in that major version.
