- [Joe] If you're doing an interview show, there are two things that are true: finding good guests is hard and you don't want to just let anyone onto your show. You have a mission statement to fulfill, after all. So if your show, for example, is focused on helping people make money through web design, having a guest talking about designing bridges likely isn't going to be helpful. So what do you do? The first thing to try if you're creating a show within your niche is to tap your network. People you know personally are much more likely to agree to come on your show, plus you know them so you can properly guide the conversation. After that, look at other communities you're a part of. These can be LinkedIn connections or even people who interact with you on LinkedIn, Facebook groups, or other social media sites. If you are not part of any communities, try joining some.
