ServiceNow uses tables, records, and fields to store everything from incidents to user details. But here's the Twist. ServiceNow's database is smart. It connects data so you never have to duplicate work. By the end of this video, you'll read ServiceNow's database structure like a pro, find and customize tables and fields in seconds and use inheritance to avoid reinventing the wheel. Let's open the hood and see how it all works. ServiceNow's database is built on four pillars. Tables are containers. They group similar data. For example, the incident table holds all tickets while sys_user stores people. Records are the individual entries or rows in those tables, like a single incident ticket. Fields are the columns.
