Configuring notifications
- [Instructor] You've assigned a task, closed a record, changed a priority, but unless the right people are notified, did it even happen? In this video, we'll show you how ServiceNow notifications work under the hood. How you can track and configure them, and how to make sure your message lands in the right inbox at the right time. Notifications in ServiceNow are powered by events. When something important happens, like a task reassignment or a status update, ServiceNow logs that as an event. If the system finds a matching notification rule, it sends a message, email, SMS, even a Microsoft Teams message. Let's walk through an example together. We'll reassign a problem record to one of my new problem managers. First, we're going to bring up the problem table. And then we're going to select any record from the list.
