Exporting reports from SAP S/4HANA

While we can do things like filter and sort our report results inside SAP, it's often more practical to work with our data in Excel. Let's look at exporting reports to Excel. One note, anything we edit in Excel will not update in SAP, of course. So our exports are for informational purposes only. Let's get into our report to export. We'll enter our list of sales orders report using transaction code VA05. We'll execute our report for all criteria. Now to export, we'll go to List, Export, and choose "Spreadsheet." This brings up our Select Spreadsheet dialog box. I like to export using the Excel SX extension, and we'll click "Continue." This opens our Save As where we can enter our file name. We'll call this SAP Sales Order Report, and save it to our desktop. This opens our exported report automatically in Excel.
