Rely on the Salesforce Home tab
- [Instructor] The Home tab in Salesforce is designed with efficiency and focus in mind. The standard Home tab is designed for sales users. It has aggregate data, plus, links to the information that sales users rely on to nurture their customer relationships. I'll show you the standard, default Home tab, but keep in mind that your company might use a customized homepage, tailored specifically for your role or your company. See how a Sales user, at a glance, can see a snapshot of information about Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, and Leads? Each of these components shows important data points, such as, the sum of open deals closing this quarter, or data on customers, or leads who might be getting stale due to a lack of activity. The rings are even color-coded to show how well you're doing. And, notice, at the top of the component, you can see which records are included in each object summary.
