Build trust with verifications

- In today's world, trust and credibility aren't just nice to have. They're everything. On average, members who are verified get 60% more profile views than those who aren't. At LinkedIn, authenticity is the foundation of meaningful connections. A verification badge on your profile signals that you've confirmed key details about your account, such as your identity and workplace. It's more than just a symbol. It's a powerful way to showcase your authenticity and build trust, making it easier for others to connect and interact with you. So let's talk about the two key ways to verify on your LinkedIn profile. First up, identity verification. Identity verification means that your government issued ID was verified by one of LinkedIn's verification partners. Currently, this is limited to select geographies, so don't worry if you can't see this option just yet. Next, workplace verification. A workplace verification means that you have confirmed your association with the company where you work. There are several different ways to do this. For example, you can use your work email, Microsoft Entra Verified ID, or even an active LinkedIn recruiter license provided by your company. These are just a few ways, but there's many more, and the list is always growing. Wondering how it works? Simple. Click on the Resources button on the top right of your profile. Select About this profile. Click the Verify now button and follow the prompts on the screen. Here's a couple of things to keep in mind when it comes to verifications. Verifications are completely optional and aren't required. Think of them as a power up for your profile that boosts credibility. Verifying your info and adding verifications to your LinkedIn profile won't cost you a thing. It's free, simple, and all about establishing trust. You're always in full control, and while verifications are visible, you can remove them at any time. The location and the placement of the verifications badge on your profile may change as LinkedIn continues to evolve and enhance this feature. So stay tuned.
