Add your pronouns to your LinkedIn profile
- You know that feeling of being accepted, valued, and included within a group or community? That's called belonging. LinkedIn lets you show up as your authentic self, creating moments of belonging. One way we do this, by giving you the option to display your gender pronouns on your profile. Come along, let's see it in action. Welcome to Sue's profile. To add her gender pronouns, she'll click the pencil icon in her introduction section, and her Edit intro card will pop up. From there, she'll scroll down to Pronouns and select hers from the dropdown menu. Keep in mind, this feature is being gradually rolled out to select regions. You can always click on Learn more about gender pronouns to get updates. Sue will select her pronouns and set the visibility. Remember, Sue has full control over who sees her pronouns. She can select just her connections or all LinkedIn members. In this case, Sue will select all LinkedIn members and click Save. Voila! Now, Sue's gender pronouns are displayed on her profile. Your LinkedIn profile is your professional story, so make it truly yours. Adding pronouns is completely optional, so only include them if it feels right for you. Your comfort and authenticity come first. Pronouns are key to who we are, showing the world how we want to be seen, and helping others get it right when they refer to us.
