- [Instructor] This chapter is a tour of the Raspberry Pi desktop. I'm going to show you a series of basic tasks starting with web browsing in this video. This may all be familiar if you've used a Linux computer, and even if you're used to Windows or macOS, you won't find it too different. You can find all the web browsers installed on your Raspberry Pi by clicking the Raspberry Pi menu and choosing Internet. By default, Chromium and Firefox are available. To launch your default web browser, you can click the globe icon on the task bar. Although the Chromium browser is maintained by Google, there are some key differences between it and Google Chrome. Chromium is an open-source browser, so it lacks certain licensed codex and DRM modules. Google Chrome Sync is unavailable in chromium as well. And also missing is the ability to log into multiple Google profiles and switch between them. Try searching from the Chromium address bar, and you'll find that the default search engine is…
