- It's crucial to understand what is driving the change, which then underpins our early communications, explaining why we need the change in order for us to gain necessary stakeholder support. I've found that one of the best tools for this analysis is PESTLEE, which consists of the internal and external pressures on the business to make the change. Here's how it works. This analysis would typically be undertaken by the sponsor and business change managers, and for each of the following categories, they should consider if there is any perceived pressure to change. First, other political drivers that take into account your country's government policies and political stability and will include tax implications, industry regulations, global trade agreements and restrictions. Internal political drivers could include a change in senior leadership for the organization.
