- [Instructor] I'd like to explore a feature called scene edit detection, which is a really useful tool that allows you to automatically add cut points to a scene. Why would you need to do this? Let me show you. I'm going to go into my 5.3 bin and load my scene edit detection sequence. I'm going to scrub through this so you can see what it is. All right, so this is just a montage sequence. And although it's only one clip in the timeline, it's made up of many different shots. So what this is is an exported sequence that's been re-imported into our project. And this is really common. You'll often have master files like this of edited material that you may need to work with on a shot by shot basis. So let's have Premiere break this into its individual shots.
