Decision time: continue or iterate
- At this point in the process, you've created prototypes of your potential solution and you've had users work with these prototypes to complete their tasks. The big question is, did your potential solution hold up to the usability testing sessions? Hopefully, the results of your usability studies were positive. Maybe a couple of things to fix, but overall, an indication that you're on the right path. Remember, we're not trying to build out the entire system in our paper prototype. Instead, we're trying to get an indication of whether our key concepts are understandable, workable, and satisfying for our target audience. If you're following a user-centered development approach, you'll be continuing your usability studies as you build out early code, so you'll have plenty more opportunities to do course corrections as you go along.
