Using the laser pointer, pen, and highlighter
- [Presenter] PowerPoint has several useful tools for calling out elements on a slide when in slideshow mode. To activate the pointer pen and highlighter tools, go to the slideshow tab and launch your presentation. I'm going to select from current slide. In the toolbar at the bottom of the slide, click on the pen icon, select laser pointer, and move your mouse around as you would with a normal laser pointer. To activate the pen, click on pen, then click down on your mouse and draw in your ink. You can change the color of the ink if the default red is difficult to see against the background by selecting one of the other colors here. To highlight text, simply click on the highlighter. You can also change the color of the highlighter. To exit out of either of these modes, hit escape on the keyboard, your mouse turns back into a regular cursor.
