Insert or change the page numbers on a slide
- [Narrator] To add slide numbers to your presentation, go to the Insert tab, click on Header and Footer, and next to Slide Number, place a check mark, and then select Apply to All if you want to apply this to all of your slides. Scrolling through the presentation, you'll notice that the slide number gets added. You may also notice that some slides don't have slide numbers, even though we just asked PowerPoint to add them everywhere. That is because the template dictates that certain slides, such as the title and divider slides, shouldn't have slide numbers. If you want to change that, go to the View tab and click on Slide Master. Then, place a check mark next to Footers to activate all the footers that are set on the parent layout here at the very top. Now click on Close Master View to go back to editing mode. Notice that the slide number hasn't appeared yet. We need to insert it once more. Go to the Insert tab, click on Header and Footer, place a check mark next to Slide Number, and select Apply. Now the slide number is added and we're good to go.
