Add transitions to slides
- [Instructor] Transitions can help smooth out the jump from one slide to another. The key is to keep it simple and subtle. To add a transition, select all the slides. Go up to the transitions tab. I recommend sticking to fade for most situations and choosing one transition for the entire presentation. Click it and you get a preview of that animation. You could always do so again by clicking on the preview button. There's one special transition which behaves a bit differently from others, and it's called morph. To add a morph transition, right click the slide thumbnail and select duplicate slide. Then go back to the original slide and let's move objects off of the slide. To do that, I'm going to zoom out by hitting the control key on my keyboard and spinning my mouse flywheel. You can also adjust the zoom here on the slider down below. Let's move things off the slide. Like so. We'll do the same for the text. Now, let's go to the duplicated slide and, up in the transitions tab, we'll select morph. We get a preview of the elegant and simple effect that we created using a transition. For more examples of cool effects created with morph, look for links in the resources PDF in the exercise files.
