- Hi, I'm Jodi. I studied social policy and education at Northwestern University. I graduated in 1995. I went into the Peace Corps for two years in Latin America in a little tiny town called Kurarewe. I came home, I worked in government. I decided I didn't like government. I went to business school. I became an investment banker, decided I didn't like investment banking. What am I going to do with my life? Are you wondering yet why I'm telling you all of this? Does anything I've done in my background have to do with what I actually do today? Not really. And how many times have you met someone and they start talking to you and they go on and on and on about where they're from and what they've done? And you think to yourself, why are we having this conversation? The better way to start your pitch always is to lead with your destination. Start by looking forward.
