- Now I'll show you my favorite select and mask feature and that's the refine edge brush. And so, here we are looking at the result of choosing the select subject command and then saving off that selection as a layer mask. And now with either the layer or the layer mask thumbnail selected, click on the selected mask button up here in the options bar. And now notice the second tool down, which is the refine edge brush. Go ahead and select that tool. And then you can make your cursor bigger by pressing the right bracket key or smaller by pressing the left bracket key. In any event, I'm going to go ahead and zoom in on this region of the guy's head. And I'm zooming, by the way, by pressing and holding the Z key. And then I'll just paint around this region and release in order to view the improved results.
