- [Instructor] All right, now that you know how the multiply blend mode works, let's take a look at a couple of highly practical applications starting with is volleyball, which I'm going to move into an entirely different environment. But I want to make sure I keep it shadow as well, which was captured against a white background. So armed with a Rectangular Marquee tool, I'll go ahead and right-click inside the image window and choose duplicate layer. And I'll change the destination document to three backgrounds and then I'll click okay. All right now I'll go ahead and switch over to that image, and I'll rename this new layer of volleyball and I'll change its blend mode to multiply. Now that does a great job on that shadow, you can see that it blends in nicely, but the volleyball should be opaque. And so I'm going to fill it in by clicking on this beach layer, which is currently turned off and I'm going to draw a white…
