Applying an inner shadow

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to create the effect of letters that are carved or somehow recessed into the background using an inner shadow effect. So I'll start off by selecting the kobicha layer here, which is named after this shade of brown. And the, just so that we can really see the shadow as we apply it, I'm going to drop the fill opacity to just 20% by pressing Shift two, like so. And that's going to make the letters very translucent indeed. I'm also going to burn them into the background a little bit by changing the blend mode from normal to multiply here in the upper left corner of the layers panel. Or I could have just as easily pressed Shift Alt M or Shift Option M on the Mac. And as you can see, that darkens things up ever so slightly. All right, now I'm going to drop down to the FX icon at the bottom of the layers panel and I'm going to choose inner shadow. So I want to make this clear. Drop…
