- The first step to making this work is to do any processing that you want to the raw files, and then open them up into a stacked document using a smart object. Let me show you how. So, let's go ahead and open those up. File, Open, and we'll navigate, and open these here. Now, in this case, these are all DNGs, so with the digital negative, they've already been processed, the files were saved. But you can make any changes that you decided you needed to, to the overall exposure, for example. Maybe I'm going to come down here to the Optics and just apply some basic corrections. Now, it can't read that in, because this is a Lensbaby lens, so it doesn't have a profile to read in, but I can take a look and make those choices manually. For example, brightening the edges there.
