Converting to black and white
- Making your black and white photo in Photoshop is easy. There's an adjustment layer just for black and white photography. Just go to the adjustments panel and locate black and white. Now, we can actually affect how the colors convert. Choose the on image tool, and it's very simple to click on different zones. If I click on the blue sky here, notice how the blue slider is affecting the conversion of the sky. A little bit lower and it's more the cyans, but both cyans and blues are mixing to create the blue gradient. Now, let's click on the surface of the rock. That actually has a little bit of blue in it as well, but as we come down here, you see that the brick is more being affected by reds and oranges, which would've been where the sun was reflecting. If we click over here into the trees, that's more the green sliders and we can create a different transition point. By moving these, such as the greens and yellows,…
