Aligning and blending the pieces of the scan

- Once you've loaded them into the document, the auto method worked pretty well, but you might need to tweak things, check the alignment, and refine how things are masked. Let me show you. Looking at the Photoshop document here. I'm just going to make things a little bit bigger. Let's open up the layers panel and we'll just expand this up, so we can see all the layers at once. Now let's explore this. I'll turn on one layer here and zoom in. If I toggle that off and on, that feels pretty good, but there's a little bit of a blend issue there, just a small one. I can click on the layer mask here and grab the paintbrush tool, left bracket for smaller brush, right bracket for bigger. And what we can do is come right here to this transition zone and paint a little bit. By painting with a lower opacity, we can build up the stroke and it just creates a more gentle transition there by adding in some white to the mask,…
