Creating a tone and voice guide
- [Instructor] You've spent some time identifying your values. Now it's time to turn those values into emotions and record them in the tone and voice table. In the workbook, in the exercise files, you'll find the tone and voice table. Look at your values from the previous exercise, and now, see if you can attach an emotion, personality trait or attribute to those values. For example, if you said deliver on time was a value, then committed or trustworthy might be a personality trait associated with that. Other common emotions that may get into the tone and voice table frequently are respect, professionalism, delight, care and so forth. Let's say that confident is your emotion for your website design business. You'll then follow this up with bits of text that might appear on your website or in your app. Provide an example of what is good and appropriate, what should be avoided and why the emotion matters.
