Monitoring to avoid procrastination

- It's a fact, we are more likely to get things done and do them well when someone sets us a deadline. It gives us the urgency we need to perform and focus. We also know from some research that people who impose strict deadlines on themselves perform far better and more consistently than those who don't. So given tracking our progress is a key component of productivity, how can we implement this into our daily routine? Use a productivity tracker, On a sheet of paper or in a document, create two columns. The left column lists the time span of each productivity session, the right column lists the tasks you completed in that period. Simple, right? You're simulating the accountability you need by monitoring your actions and progress, which can be a powerful motivator for greater focus.
