What's an interesting project you've been working on lately? This shows interest in the other person's work and can lead to a more engaging conversation about their projects or tasks. I noticed you recently attended a conference on topic. How did you find it? Referencing a recent event shows that you're paying attention and are interested in their experiences. Last time we ran into each other, you mentioned that your twins were about to start elementary school. How are they settling in? Asking about a personal aspect of their life creates a bond beyond the professional level. When you encourage people to share something meaningful, it fosters genuine connection that leaves a lasting positive impression.
