How to ask for feedback
- Feedback is not always the easiest to hear, but those who ask for it are so much more likely to advance in their careers. Keep these things in mind the next time you ask for it. Most people don't naturally give it out, so you're three times more likely to receive it when you ask for it. Also, ask for feedback when it's timely and relevant to what you were working on. For example, if you had a big presentation to your team, right after or the same day would be a good time to ask for quick feedback from your manager. And lastly, ensure that the person you're asking for feedback knows you trust them and want their guidance. This will make them so much more comfortable to give you feedback, both positive and negative. So don't be afraid of feedback. It's going to help you advance in your career.
