Segment routing to LDP interworking

- [Instructor] In this lesson we will learn about SR to LDP interworking. Let's use an example involving five routers to understand how segment routing or SR and LDP Interwork. We have five routers, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5. R1 and R2 are segment routing or SR enabled and do not support LDP. R4 and R5 are LDP enabled and do not support segment routing. R3 is the border node between the SR and LDP domains and it is configured with both segment routing and LDP. R1, R2 and R3 use the default SRGB range of 16000, 23999. R5 advertises the network 1.1.1.5/32 and does not support SR. Therefore R3 and R4 choose LDP labels for this prefix. R4 assigns label 90090. R3 assigns label 90002. R5 sends an implicit null to R4 because it is the final hub for the 1.1.1.5/32 network and R4 sends 90090 to R3. Assume a packet testing for 1.1.1.5 arrives at R1, which is SR enabled. Since R1 is in the SR domain, it doesn't have an LDP label for this destination. For R1 to forward packets using segment routing…
