Creating a virtual machine
- [Instructor] So far, we've deployed Hyper-V and I've shown you how to create a virtual network, but we haven't created any virtual machines yet. So I want to show you how to create a virtual machine. Now, it's worth noting that as we get a little bit further into this course, the method that we'll be using to create a virtual machine is going to be a little bit different from what I'm about to show you. But what I'm going to show you in just a second is the way that virtual machines are typically created in an environment where System Center Virtual Machine Manager is not used. So as you can see, I've got the Hyper-V manager open and I've got my host server selected. So what I'm going to do is click on New. From there, I'm going to click Virtual Machine, and this brings up the New Virtual Machine Wizard. I'll click Next. Now we have to provide a name for the virtual machine.
