- [Host] So before we go any further with System Center Virtual Machine Manager, I want to create a Run as Account. A Run as Account is an active directory account that conveys permissions to System Center Virtual Machine Manager. That way it's able to interact with your virtualization infrastructure on your behalf. So as you can see, I've got Server Manager open and I'm actually on my domain controller at the moment because we need to create an active directory account. So that's what I'm going to do, I'm going to click on Tools, and then I'm going to go to Active Directory Users and Computers. Now I'm going to make sure that the user's container is selected. I'll right click and then I'll go to New. And then User and I have to enter a name for the account. I'm just going to call it my Run as Account Run as.
