Manage Windows Servers in a hybrid environment, part 1
The first of these is Server Manager. This usually opens up by default and is displayed on the desktop. From here, you can use the tools menu in the upper right to select specific tools. We'll talk about some of those in a moment. You can manage a particular server tends to be a one-time task. It's not something that you necessarily repeat on an individual server. You may perform the task many times on many different servers. If I want to configure file and storage services again, I could select that and any other specific services, as you can see on the left-hand side, such as DHCP, DNS or Active Directory, or I can use the appropriate tool from the tools console. So server manager tends to be a go-to. In the lower half of the display, we've got specific services indicated. They're all showing green status here, which is good. And you'll get warning messages and information there if there are problems. And you can scroll through and find out about problem services. So for example, if…
