Remove tasks from a summary task without deleting them

- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Bonnie Biafore. If you organize project tasks, you may want to eliminate a summary task, but keep its subtasks. It's easy to do, but it does take a few steps. So we're going to go down in the task list, and I'm going to find a summary task which is design network infrastructure. It has several subtasks underneath it. Now if I right-click the summary task and then choose delete task on the shortcut menu, the planning wizard dialogue box appears; and it tells me that deleting this summary task is going to delete all the subtasks as well. That is not what I want to do. So I'm going to go down and click the cancel button. If I want to keep the subtasks, what I have to do is first drag over the task ID cells for the subtasks; and then on the task tab, in the schedule section, I'm going to click this green left-pointing arrow. It's the outdent feature. So that outdents those tasks, brings them one level…
