When to use reference or duplicate queries and their impact
- [Instructor] Okay, so in this sub lesson, we are going to identify when to use reference or duplicate queries and the resulting impact. Okay, so in this example here, I've got a single query here called product. So it went back to our source system, made a connection. You can see I've done a couple transformations to it. So there's the original source navigation, change type, moved a column and did some column renaming. So, some pretty basic stuff. Okay, so at this point, I may want to do more with this query or something else with this query. So a few different things we can do here. So what I'm going to do first is I'm going to go ahead and say duplicate this query first. So let's just say for some reason I wanted an independent copy of that previous query to then go ahead and work on. So now when I go ahead and start working on product two, which was the duplicate, anything I do in here does not impact the previous query because it is a independent copy that I can now operate on…
