Design reports for mobile devices
- [Instructor] In this sub lesson, we're going to design reports for mobile devices. Mobile users can view any Power BI report page in landscape orientation. Report authors can create an additional view that is optimized for mobile devices and displays in portrait orientation. The design option, which is available in both Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service enables authors to select and rearrange just those visuals. Power BI provides several features to help you create mobile-optimized versions of your reports. First, a mobile layout view where you can create your mobile-optimized report by dragging and dropping visuals onto a phone emulator canvas, and visuals and slicers that can be optimized for use on small mobile screens. In the Power BI mobile apps, mobile-optimized reports are indicated by a special icon as seen below. So let's go out to the Power BI Desktop and then the service to take a look.
