- [Instructor] In this sub lesson, we are going to configure row-level security group membership. So keeping in mind that back in a previous sub lesson, we learned how to initially set the roles up and provide the rules for those roles, and then published our work in the Power BI service. And now we're going to add members to the semantic model. So in the Power BI service, you can add a member to the role by adding individual email addresses or groups. You can use the following groups to set up row-level security, a distribution group, mail-enabled group, or a security group. Office 365 groups are not supported and cannot be added to any roles. Some limitations and considerations. If you previously defined roles and rules in the Power BI service, you must recreate them in the Power BI Desktop.
