- [Instructor] One of the most common tasks in an identity and access management solution is providing administrative access or administrative responsibilities to a user or a group. So let's take a look at how that mechanism works in Microsoft Entra ID. In Microsoft Entra ID, we have the concepts of roles, role groups, and role assignments. A role is a specific set of permissions or a set of rights. A role group is a grouping of those permissions of rights. And then an assignment is actually assigning that role or role group to a specific user or to a group. So let's take a look at the tools that we use to do that. So if I take, for example, my user, Michael, that I created in a previous video in this course, I'm going to click on the search box here and search for Michael. And here is that user Michael.
