- [Instructor] I always believe in doing the job with as little extra work as possible. In this last section of the course, I want to reemphasize a few points I think are important to keep in mind. And following some simple best practices will save you time and trouble. When you need to share data that already exists in Excel, you are always better off using a method that keeps it up to date dynamically. For instance, if you need to show tabular information in a Word document or a PowerPoint that you already have in a worksheet, don't recreate the data. Instead, insert the worksheet as an object into the document to be shared. Don't want to share all the document in the workbook? Fine. You can automatically copy column information from one sheet to another, or even from one book to another, or you can create a custom view.
