- [Instructor] Done goofed. I said there were only two high dollar terms, I forgot about clustering. Clustering is where you're looking for hidden patterns in data without labels. Really exploratory-type work, where your data mining. You might want to have your ML model analyze your customer database to group shoppers by buying habits for marketing. Another thing clustering is useful for, again, deals with exploratory stuff, detecting anomalies, spotting unusual traffic for security purposes. Optimization, if you're like me, you're always looking to optimize systems, data, organization, clustering similar images, products, or documents. In the best case, machine learning and AI can turn you on to new approaches that you might not have thought about otherwise. For example, Northwind Traders groups customers for personalized offers.
