But the Azure Cloud gives us infinite compute capacity, and the compute is bundled in some more services that you should know by name. Azure Databricks uses Apache Spark. It's a cloud-hosted implementation of Apache Spark. We're talking about big data analytics. Databricks.com is a third party software-as-a-service provider. Azure Databricks is simply their Microsoft's partnership. You see, Databricks, their whole business model is they offer subscription-based Spark access, and they have partnerships with the big three cloud vendors, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud. If you want a native Azure solution for big data analytics there's Azure Synapse, and that gives you both sides of the coin, both traditional SQL-structured data warehousing and predictive analytics, as well as Apache Spark.
