- [Instructor] Here we're protecting user data and ensuring that the AI is safe and secure when data's at rest, data's in transit, data is in use. It also likely involves our compliance with laws, regulations, certifications, GDPR, HIPAA, to safeguard user privacy. It brings in things like assurances with data encryption and sensitive data handling, data retention, obtaining user consent prior to data collection, but the good news, I think you'll find, is that Microsoft has all of those compliance check marks pretty much filled out for you. Check out the Microsoft Trust Center. As an exam-related example, let's take Woodgrove Health's AI system that encrypts all patient data for privacy and they can demonstrate, for example, whether relying on Microsoft to hold the at-rest encryption keys in the Cloud, but Microsoft actually allows customers to hold the encryption key as well, and Woodgrove Health might very well need to do that.
