- [Instructor] One of the first things you'll need to do when you're using Windows Autopilot is to upload your organization's device IDs. Each computer has a unique identity. The Autopilot service needs to be able to identify each computer, and that's why we will upload the IDs. And normally your hardware vendor will upload these IDs to the Autopilot service. So perhaps you'll purchase 100 new computers. The manufacturer will upload those device IDs for you, and then they'll ship the devices to either you in IT or directly to your users. If you've got existing devices, obviously it won't be possible for the manufacturer to upload the device IDs on your behalf. So in those circumstances, you can use a downloadable script that will run in PowerShell. That will collect the information, the device IDs, and upload them either as part of the script or you can then upload an extracted CSV file as a separate process straight into…
