Create and configure shared mailboxes
- [Instructor] A shared mailbox in Microsoft 365 is a shared entry point for email messages, that go into a shared repository, where then multiple users can go and access, and then act upon that email. It is a great collaboration tool that has been around since the days of Exchange Server On-Prem. Microsoft 365 provides the ability to create and manage shared mailboxes through this interface here, under Teams and Groups menu. I'm going to click here on shared mailboxes, and I see that I have existing shared mailboxes. Now, a shared mailbox is really a component that lives inside of Exchange Online. It is really purely for email only. It does not create or have access to a specific team or any of the other collaboration tools that are part of Microsoft 365.
